Latent and Active Failures in Aircraft Maintenance
In recent years, government agencies and regulatory compliance have increasingly focused on maintenance resource management and human factors training. To improved safety margins within the aviation industry to reduce risk and enhance safety and reliability.
In this case analysis, as a member of management you are to research information about “Active and Latent” failures in aviation maintenance to identify the following;
Identify common human errors and system failures
Conditions of active failures
Human factor and human error(s) involved
Latent conditions (training, resources, etc.)
Preventive approach to reduce A/L errors
Compile the written report into 3 to 4 pages. The length requirement does not include the title page and reference page. The structure of the report must be submitted in the following order:
Cover Page
Body (3 – 4 pages)
Reference page containing a minimum of four (4) sources
