Each individual observes the world through their own perceptions. Project Implicit is a non-profit organization and international collaboration between researchers who are interested in implicit social cognition – thoughts and feelings outside of conscious awareness and control. Their website has a series of test that are available to test your social attitudes.
First, take two of the Harvard Project Implicit (Links to an external site.) tests by going to the website then continue as a “guest.” After taking two of the tests, read through the material under the “Education” tab.

Second, address the following in about three paragraphs (about 315 words):
Define Implicit Preference / Bias
Describe your results for each test. (I took the test and these were the results but feel free to take the tests, the link is right above. I’m not sure if providing the results can help you do a description but I kind of did one for you but I am not too sure if I’m interpreting it correctly)
a) I took the Gender-Science Test and the results stated little or no automatic association between Female and Male with Science and Liberal Arts.
(I guess this may be because I don’t see a distinction of females doing one particular type of job (Liberal Arts) and males doing something else (Science))
b) I took the COVID-19 Test and the results stated slight implicit association between COVID-19 and Harmless. You received this result because you were slightly faster to respond when “COVID-19” was paired with “Harmless” than when “COVID-19” was paired with “Dangerous.”
(I guess this may be because I live in NYC and we have been very cautious and prepared. Also, I have been working throughout COVID-19 and ensure to always be protected and practice social distancing. )
Explain how your membership in different subcultures influenced your perceptions of others.
